Financing

Commercial Diving Academy accepts Title IV federal financial aid, Florida Prepaid, the GI Bill, State and VA Vocational Rehabilitation funding, Workforce Investment Act and works with Sallie Mae and Fifth Third Bank to provide private student loans, known as Smart Option loans, which are credit-based and may require a co-signer.

Fill out the 2009-2010 FAFSA using 2008 tax return information and the 2010-2011 FAFSA using 2009 tax return information to attend in May.

Federal  student loans are available, with an interest rate of 5.6% for the subsidized Stafford loan, 6.8% for the unsubsized Stafford loan, and 8.5% for the Parent Plus loan.  More information about Federal loans may be obtained from CDA or the Department of Education Web site, www.ed.gov.  

 

CODE OF CONDUCT
1. Academy employees should receive no personal benefit.  No officer, trustee or employee of the University shall accept anything of more than nominal value on his or her behalf or on behalf of another person or entity from any Lending Institution.
2. Academy employees should not serve on lender advisory boards for remuneration.
3. The Academy should not provide any advantage to a Lending Institution.
4. The Academy should make appropriate use of any Preferred Lender Lists. 

The Academy regularly uses Fifth Third Bank, Regions Bank and Southwest Student Services Trust as lenders, but students can choose any lender.
